Billionaire investor Marc Lasry’s Westport, CT estate, known as “Casa Blanca,” pays homage to both his Moroccan heritage and the striking 14,000-square-foot white mansion at its heart. Situated along Westport’s prestigious Gold Coast, this extraordinary 7.4-acre property unites parcels at 100, 102, and 104 Beachside Avenue, offering a harmonious blend of historic charm and contemporary design.

A Historic Estate Reimagined

The centerpiece of the estate, 100 Beachside Avenue, carries a rich legacy. Originally featuring a 1929 pink stucco house, the property has seen several transformations. The previous owner was Joel Smilow, former CEO and Chairman of Playtex Products. The surrounding neighborhood has been home to prominent figures like Phil Donahue and Harvey Weinstein.

In 2005, Lasry purchased 100 and 102 Beachside Avenue for $14.6 million, setting a local record at the time. Lasry reimagined the property, replacing the 9000-square-foot original structure with a 14,000-square-foot Georgian Colonial mansion clad in white shingles. Completed in 2007 and dubbed “Casa Blanca,” the home has ten bedrooms, ten full bathrooms, and six half bathrooms.

Recreational Amenities

The estate boasts features designed for both relaxation and recreation, likely well-suited to entertaining Lasry’s five children. The main property includes a heated gunite pool and spa, a pool house, and hundreds of feet of private beachfront along Long Island Sound. A cabana and a tennis court add to its appeal for leisure and sports enthusiasts.

In 2007, Lasry expanded the estate by acquiring 104 Beachside Avenue for $15.1 million. This adjacent parcel features a basketball court adorned with the Milwaukee Bucks’ logo and the tagline “Fear the Deer,” honoring Lasry’s tenure as a co-owner of the team, which he sold in 2023 at a $3.5 billion valuation. Additionally, the property includes a dock and boat ramp, offering convenient access to Long Island Sound for boating activities.

Marc Lasry is a Moroccan American billionaire and private equity manager, best known as the co-founder and CEO of Avenue Capital Group, a firm specializing in distressed and undervalued securities, which now manages more than $10 billion in assets. He is also a former co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks (2014–2023). Born into a Jewish family in Marrakesh, Morocco, Lasry immigrated to the U.S. at age seven and grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut.
